Zemach Mifalim (Zemach Regional Industries) is a private company owned by 27 kibbutzim. Mishkey Emek Ha-Yarden (Jordan Valley Farms) is an agricultural cooperative society, jointly owned by 31 settlements and various agricultural associations. The organization and factories serve as a mean to promote the growth of the kibbutzim in the region and are essential and active players in the growth vision of the entire area.

:The organization is comprised of two main bodies

MEY is responsible for vendor payments

collecting revenues from the various agricultural branches, managing the joint cash flow as well as for opening short and long-term credit lines facilities for the agricultural farms.

ZM is responsible for the optimal management of the group's associations

It is headed by the company's CEO, who also serves as chairman of the Zemach Banana, Zemach Avocado and feed mill enterprises, as well as chairman of several subsidiaries. In addition, the organization offers various administration services such as: accounting, financial management, HR and various infrastructures

On the community activities, the associations which are part of ZM and MEY are deeply involved with all local schools in the owner settlements throughout the Jordan Valley, Golan heights and Galilee. The associations are also active partners and contributors in various regional activities, such as: agriculture fair, ecological fair and the Banana festival – Taste of Kinneret, jointly organized with the Jordan Valley regional council.

 

Future prospects for ZM and MEY – setting up long-term credit lines facilities which will allow the region to further grow and develop and will strengthen the owner settlements. Moreover, the organization puts special emphasis on reinforcing regional cooperations. 

 

 

Associations

Mishkey Emek Ha-Yarden organization offering credit and trading services, with a turnover of hundreds of millions shekels. Main activities – trading with vendors, offering credit lines and development loans to the settlements in the region and financial arrangements for the settlements and Zemach associations. 

Zemach Bananas the Zemach banana association deals with sorting, packaging, artificial ripening and preparations of the fruits for marketing. The association prepares the fruits for its customers according to quality and pricing guidelines and is responsible for strengthening cooperation between the growers and the packing house. The association offers professional support and guidance and operates information, research, experimentation and instruction services for the growers. The association also represents the region in the Israeli National Organization of Banana Growers. 

Zemach-Nisyonot a regional association that offers support to the various agricultural branches in the Jordan Valley. The association operates in three main fields: It conducts applied agricultural research in all regional vegetation branches. It offers a comprehensive set of services, including lab and field service to the farmers. It offers complementary instruction to that given by the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture. The association owns and runs an experimental farm, focusing mainly on the research of bananas and subtropic crops.  The experimental farm conducts studies which cannot be performed in the farmsteads. During the years, working teams have been formed and tasked with transferring the accumulated knowledge to the growers. The soil archive, operated by Zemach Nisyonot, collects and documents comprehensive data about the various plots and soils in the region. This data is then used to form recommendations for the proper use of each and every plot. The archive is the only repository of its kind in Israel and its shelves contain the secret to planting successful crops.  

Zemach Feed Mills is a cooperative agricultural association, with 47 cooperative farms from the Jordan Valley, the Springs Valley and the Golan Heights. The association develops and manufactures nourishment for farm animals and pets: poultry, fish, cattle, sheep, turkeys, dogs and cats. The factory conducts direct contact with the growers. At Zemach Food Mills we believe that the service does not begin with food production, but rather at the planning stage; we strive to customize our products to the unique needs of each farmer and interface. This partnership between manufacturer and consumer, enables the plant's customers to enjoy professional and economic prosperity. As part of this service approach, the factory operates an advanced laboratory that performs quality assurance physical and chemical tests, according to the most stringent standards: HACCP, GMP and Global Gap. Additionally, all products are under the constant supervision of the state authority for supervision of fodder quality.  Zemach Food Mills is one of the most innovative players in the livestock food market. Among the plant's products are antibiotics-free foods for poultry, unique foods for exotic fish and pet foods at the Super Premium level. 

 Transportation The company owns a state-of-the-art fleet of trucks of various sizes, with advanced low-emissions technology, to protect the environment. In addition, the Jordan Valley transportation company has a large fleet of trailers of different types, as well as modern equipment suitable for the effective performance of various types of transport. The safe operation of the various equipment and systems is given top priority in the company.  Other transportation types offered by the company are fuels, chemicals, bulk transportation for animal feed, raw materials for industry, etc.  The company provides services to a wide range of customers in various fields of transportation: raw materials for the animal food industry; agricultural products from the fields to the packing houses and from the packing house to the marketplace and exportation; transportation of marine containers (import and export) for factories in the region; milk from dairy farms in the north; fuels and LPG; and raw materials for infrastructure projects. 

Maxsoft a leading software house in the field of information systems, developer of the "Eshkol"ERP system. The company provides maintenance and support services for computer networks and workstations with immediate availability through the service system. In addition, Maxsoft engages in international studies financed by research funds and in the development of agricultural information monitoring systems. The "Eshkol" ERP system, developed by Maxsoft, provides a quality solution for the overall management of an organization's resources, including financial, logistic and production systems (PP&C). The system is currently being used by more than 130 customers, in various sectors of the economy, including: High-tech, commerce, industry and institutions, packing houses and kibbutzim.

Mall Kinneret This shopping complex, located near the Zemach junction, is a recreation and shopping center. Its central location welcomes a wide range of visitors, from local residents to casual visitors, hikers and anyone who passes through the area on his way to the Sea of Galilee, the Galilee and the Golan Heights. The complex includes a variety of restaurants and coffee-shops, as well as fashion, home design and sports stores, an optician, a pet shop, electronics and electricity shops, and a supermarket. The complex is the venue for various family-oriented events which are held on Jewish holidays and according to the seasons of the year. The "Mall Kinneret" complex is jointly owned by Zemach Mifalim and Tnuport.

Zemach Avocado Sorting, packaging and marketing of avocado, mango, corn and citrus fruits for export and the local market. Export sales amount to 70% of the produce; an area of circa 600 hectares avocado, about 400 hectares mango and about 150 hectares citrus.

 Zemach Leasing this is the Jordan Valley leasing company. The company provides financing services for the purchase of vehicles, trucks, agricultural equipment and special equipment as well as various types of operational leasing services.  Zemach Leasing is a private company, jointly owned by: Mishkey Emek Ha-Yarden (50%) and Zemach Mifalim (50%). The company's management consists of 8 members (CEO of ZM , finance manager, the manager of Zemach Leasing, operations manager and 4 elected officials).

 Zemach Leasing has two subsidiaries. Galil Lease is a subsidiary jointly owned by Zemach Leasing and The Galilee Development Company.  The leasing company of the Upper Galilee provides financing services for the purchase of vehicles, trucks, agricultural equipment and special equipment, as well as leasing services of various types. It also provides rental, purchase and sale services of private, agricultural, commercial and institutional vehicles. Zemach Gesher Vehicles The company manages selling complexes for used and new vehicles. These are jointly owned by Zemach Leasing and Gesher Golan (a company from Kazrin). Currently, the company runs three complexes (in Zemach, Kazrin and Masade). The vision guiding Zemach Leasing is to provide the ideal solution for the kibbutzim, factories, organizations and residents of the Jordan Valley and the Golan Heights in all automotive matters. Buying new and used vehicles, operative leasing, rental financing, etc.

ZEMACH KINNERET INVESTMENTS & DEVELOPMENT LTD  The Center's vision is to transform the Jordan Valley into an international-scale growth model, by developing an innovative economy which has a high added-value and is environmentally-friendly, with an emphasis on agriculture and food.
